Most of Netflix's game development has been quiet, except for when it bought a few studios.

That seems likely to change soon, though, as a big-budget FPS PC game is said to be in the works.

The streaming giant recently posted a job listing looking for a game director who has "experience with FPS and/or TP Shooter games" and is comfortable leading the creative vision for a new project.

Netflix seems to have high hopes for the project, and it tells applicants that they won't have to worry about cost limits.

"Our main goal is to make a great game that players want to play again and again," the job description says. "You will be able to design, ship, and run a game without having to worry.

Even though the game is a shooter, Netflix wants to put a lot of focus on the story and wants the director to help make a "world, characters, and story worthy of a Netflix film or TV series."

It's not clear if that means the plan is to make it a Netflix show, but the plan is likely to change a lot along the way.

They need someone who has built teams from the ground up before.

This means that whatever the project is, it is still very early in the planning and development stages.
